Appel à souscriptions pour produire un film sur le massacre de journaliste australien à Balibo en 1975

C'est avec plaisir que nous relayons cet appel :

THE CIRCLE OF SILENCE
A New Film From Timor-Leste

Dili Film Works and FairTrade Films have started a new crowdfunding campaign to complete the The Circle of Silence (AKA Age of Living Dangerously). The film is a cold case investigation based on Shirley Shackleton’s Walkley Award winning book on the Balibó Five murders. Greg Shackleton, Shirley’s husband, was one of five Australian based journalists murdered in Balibó, Portuguese Timor, by Indonesian soldiers in 1975.

The producers would like to thank the many generous supporters who have made filming and editing possible. This new crowdfunding campaign will meet the costs of archive footage, final postproduction and marketing materials. The Circle of Silence has Australian cinema distribution and will be broadcast on television in Timor-Leste and screened to communities in open-air theatres around the country.  The film follows Shirley Shackleton as she travels to Timor and Indonesia to investigate her husband's murder and also features Bernard Collaery, the late James Dunn, Nick Xenophon, and José Ramos-Horta.
